WHDZ starts seven projects worth $7b

The commencement ceremony for construction of the headquarters of Lan Cui Technology was held in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), Hubei province, on April 9.

With the ceremony, construction of seven key projects started in the zone, with total investment of 44.1 billion yuan ($7 billion).

The headquarters is expected to cost around 300 million yuan, and will cover an area of 17,922 square meters.

The project consists of office areas and hotels, and will promote development of the modern service sector in WHDZ after two years of building work.

In addition, construction of projects including a modern agricultural base, a production base for ultra-thin rock plate new materials, and a residential area have also started in the zone.

Between January and March this year, WHDZ started construction work on 11 projects, with investment of 15.96 billion yuan.
