Biolake in Optics Valley of Wuhan is attracting more and more attention from their overseas counterparts. On March 15, a road show of Sino-British medical technology attracted the attention of over 50 bio-pharmaceutical enterprises in Biolake.
At the scene, Mr. Nicholas Whittingham, consul general of the British Consulate-General in Wuhan, said that “the European CE authentication can facilitate the products of enterprises in Optics Valley enter consumer market, two to three years sooner than the USA.”
Britain will build a “Sino-British medical technology workshop” in Wuhan, following that in Hong Kong, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenzhen, etc.
As known, at present, Britain boasts the largest comprehensive medical system in the world. Its medical facility market grows at an annual speed of 5%, with three fourths of facilities and consumable items being imported. 43% of international enterprises have their European headquarters set in Britain.
