Amazon, world’s largest Internet-based retailer, has offered convenience for the online shoppers in Hubei as it opened an logistics operation center in Ezhou. Now, the company also helps the local enterprises make access to global markets with its strong and high-effeciency logistics network.

As introduced, Hubei consumers are the most active user group on Amazon in terms of global shopping. In November this year, the Amazon Prime Membership was launched in China, offering unlimited free domestic shipping on orders of any size, as well as unlimited free cross-border shipping on orders over 200 yuan. Wuhan, capital city of Hubei was listed as China’s top 10 cities by total sales on Amazon at the launching day.

As early as 2013 when Gedian, a town located at the northwest Ezhou city of Hubei, was approved as a provincial-level e-commerce demonstration base, Amazon built up an operation center here, now, it has become a logistics hub in central China covering Jiangxi, Henan and Hunan provinces.

At present, this operation center is mainly in charge of the cross-border packages cleared in the customs of Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangzhou. After sorting, the packages can be delivered to the buyers within 7 to 12 days.

In fact, numerous Chinese sellers are opening shops on Amazon to promote their goods overseas except for global shopping. Sun Yuqing, the vice CEO of Amazon Global Logistics China, said the export enterprises in Hubei will access overseas markets by leveraging Amazon’s logistics system with the development of cross-border business.
