Hubei’s first Japanese industrial park settles in Xiaogan

On February 15, the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province officially approved the establishment of a Japanese industrial park in Xiaogan, which is the first in Hubei.
In recent years, with rapid development in the industries like automotive parts and optoelectronics, Xiaogan has welcomed a number of Japanese-owned companies including the world-renowned automotive supplier Yazaki and the world’s largest automotive lamp manufacturer Koito. According to statistics, Japanese-owned enterprises account for 60 percent of foreign-invested enterprises in the Xiaogan High-tech Development Zone.

On February 14, SIIX, the No.14 company in the global electronic services, started its project in Xiaogan, becoming the 23rd company with Japanese capital in this industrial park.

The industrial park, with an expected area of 3,000 mu, will be an industrial park integrating industries of automotive parts, robot, optoelectronics and vocational training, comprehensive services, etc.  (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
