On April 6, the freight train bound for Lyon started from Wujiashan Station in Wuhan, capital city of central China.
Recently, Wuhan Asia-Europe Logistics Co., Ltd sent out a delegation to visit Groupe SNCF in France, exchanging ideas on international railway freight cooperation and unveiling its representative office in France.
The international freight train linking Wuhan and Lyons was launched in April this year. With 11,300 kilometers for the whole journey, it is now the longest China - Europe freight train in Wuhan. Taking the visit as an opportunity, the representative office was jointly set up by both Chinese and French sides, in a bid to realize freight trains departing from each way within 2016.
It was introduced that Wuhan now sees close cooperation with France in car making, auto parts, energy, modern service industry, culture, education, etc. it was hoped that both sides will work together to establish the system of sales network, concentration and distribution of goods as well as well serve the trade and economic exchanges between China and France.
