Sketch of Synopsys industrial park in Wuhan
On December 12, 2016, Synopsys, a US company specializing in integrated circuit design and verification software, officially started construction of its industrial park in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province.
This decision showed the company's confidence in Chinese market and talents as well as the future of the integrated circuit industry in Wuhan, according to Ge Qun, president of Synopsys China.
As the world’s 15th largest software company, Synopsys has a long history of being a global leader in electronic design automation (EDA) and semiconductor IP and is also growing its leadership in software quality and security solutions. It established a research center in Wuhan in 2012, which is its second largest research center in China.
The new industrial park, with a total investment of 50 million dollars, will be put into service at the end of 2019. (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
