Lichuan city of Hubei signed a MOU with Edmonton city of Canada on January 8 to jointly promote the circular economy industrial park project and enhance mutual friendly relationship.
In 2014, Canada’s Waste Re-solution Company, together with Beijing GanFit Resource Recovery Technologies Inc. and a Wuhan-based company, planed to construct a circular economy industrial park in Lichuan.
The project is divided into two parts: the first part will build a production line with a daily waste disposal capacity of above 150 tons, while the second part will construct a circular economy industrial park with a daily waste disposal capacity of 400 tons. And the industrial park will be mainly engaged in using wastes to produce biogas, biodiesel, bio-organic fertilizer, liquid organic fertilizer, slow release fertilizer, etc.
Don Iveson, mayor of Edmonton city investigated the site selection for the project on January 7 and January 8. He hoped that the project would be a start for mutual exchange and cooperation between Lichuan and Edmonton.
