World’s first noninvasive glucometer is to be made in Optics Valley in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei province.

The project, brought by Dr. George Carlos, an entrepreneur from Britain, presented a new world. The biggest advantage of the glucometer lies in noninvasive, and the report of blood glucose level is calculated through a built-in sensor at earlobe or hand.

As known, blood sugar monitoring occupies a market of billions of dollars every year around the world, yet there is no existing noninvasive glucometer at present. Dr. George’s noninvasive glucometer project won third place in EU innovation contest. The team has established a company in Optics Valley and plans to release world’s first noninvasive glucometer in two years time.
