As a major initiative at the beginning of 13th Five-Year Plan, Hubei launched the "start month of major projects" activity since late February.
During the activity time, Hubei plans to promote conferted commencement of 938 projects, totally valuing 659.56 billion yuan. And till now, 467 projects has broken ground and the rest of 471 will start before the end of March.
Timelist of cities around Hubei starting major projects
On February 23, Wujiagang District of Yichang launched the first batch of ten major projects, with a total planning investment of 9.2 billion yuan.
On February 24, Xian’an District of Xianning City started construction of 4 projects, totally valuing 920 million yuan. And in March, another 8 projects with investment of 2.56 billion yuan will be launched.
On February 24, Shiyan City launched 113 major projects, with a total investment of 86.86 billion yuan, covering industrial development, ecological protection, infrastructure, business logistics, social life, etc.
On February 25, Huanggang City launched 25 major transportation projects, with a total investment of 11.2 billion yuan, relating to the construction of highways, railways and airport terminals.
On February 25, Yingcheng, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Xiaogan in Hubei, pressed the start key to 28 projects with investment exceeding 100 million yuan separately.
On February 26, Xiangyang held the "start month of major projects" activity, witinessing the commencement, completion or signing of 359 projects, with a total investment of 175.57 billion yuan. After being operational, they are able to realize an annual output of 230 billion yuan.
On February 26, Suizhou held ground-breaking ceremony for 51 major projects which total 19.63 billion yuan in investment.
On February 29, the Department of Transportation of Hubei Province announced that the 40 highway and waterway projects around the province will start in March, with a total investment of 33.38 billion yuan.
On March 1, Sui County of Suizhou City launched 11 major projects, with a total investment of 5.47 billion yuan. Among all the projects, new energy and eco-tourism highlight.
