Suizhou High Tech Industrial Park and Xiantao High Tech Industrial Park have been officially approved recently by the State Council to become national high-tech industrial development zones.
At present, the number of state-level high-tech industrial development zones in Hubei has reached 7, ranking No.1 among the six provinces in central China.
Suizhou High Tech Industrial Park has implemented an innovation-driven development strategy since establishment, and has gradually formed an industrial pattern that features special purpose vehicle, biological agriculture, pharmaceutical chemicals and electronic information. In 2014, Suizhou High Tech Industrial Park realized large-scale industrial gross output value of 77.6 billion Yuan (12.2 billion U.S. dollars).
Xiantao High Tech Industrial Park has developed 5 industrial clusters, namely, the biological medicine, new material, new energy, electronic information and equipment manufacturing, with the strategic positioning of “industry agglomeration, eco-environment protection, innovative development”. The large-scale industrial gross output value of Xiantao High Tech Industrial Park was 72.4 billion Yuan (11.4 billion U.S. dollars).
