A meeting regarding the China motor vehicle testing and certification technique was held in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), on April 11.
Experts and scholars from the country’s automobile industry exchanged opinions on the future development of motor vehicles.
They pointed out that in the next five to 10 years, China's auto industry will enter a period of rapid development featuring smart cars, which will become the driving force of the industry.
Electric vehicles, intelligent driving and new types of batteries are set to be the main trends of the auto sector according to industry experts, with WHDZ regularly mentioned as an advantageous location for developing the modern auto industry.
Hu Yabo, Party secretary of WHDZ, addressed the meeting and said that the zone will promote the upgrading and transformation of the traditional manufacturing industry, and make breakthroughs in the economic development pattern and adjustment of industrial structure.
