Toshiba, the world's top 500 companies, opened its branch office in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province on January 19, 2008.
As the first branch office in central China, Toshiba Wuhan will become the regional headquarters in central China and cover the markets in Hubei, Hunan, Henan and Sichuan provinces.
Toshiba has conducted cooperation with Wuhan Steam Turbine Plant and taken part in the construction of Wuhan No.1 and No.2 metro lines.
As Wuhan city cluster has been approved as an experimental zone for energy saving and environmentally friendly programs, Toshiba Wuhan office aims to promote the company's industrial chain and marketing capacities.
Toshiba has huge production lines in medical devices, generating equipment and clean energy in addition to refrigerators, televisions, washing machines and some other home appliances.
