World's top 500 CISCO Systems Inc established its central China's regional business headquarters in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province to cover Hubei, Hunan, Shanxi, Henan, Anhui, Jiangxi provinces.
Cisco has its expansion in China for several years, and founded Cisco Networking Academy jointly with four colleges, including Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Cisco's investment in China has totaled 8.5 billion U.S. dollars since 2002. In 2007, it announced to invest 16 billion dollars in China, mainly for R&D as well as education purchase.
Founded in December 1984, Cisco Systems is now the leading manufacturer of network interconnection solutions. At present, nearly 80 percent of the internet information flow is transferred by Cisco products.
