Global software firm to set up R&D headquarters for China at OVC

East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, central China’s Hubei province, signed an agreement with ThoughtWorks on Feb 26, to set up the company’s research and development headquarters for China in the zone. 


As a global software company focusing on software design and delivery, ThoughtWorks set up its Wuhan company in Optics Valley of China in 2015, with more than 100 staff members. 


ThoughtWorks currently has 5,000 employees at 42 offices in 15 countries, including six offices in China in Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Wuhan, Shanghai and Shenzhen, providing services in areas including finance, transportation, energy, manufacturing, and education.


According to the agreement, The Wuhan company of ThoughtWorks will be its headquarters for central China, providing a variety of services including software delivery, consulting, digital transformation, innovative design, and solutions to global customers.


The Wuhan company will also develop into ThoughtWorks’ largest R&D center in not just China, but the entire world.
