Biolake and Enshi build biomedical industrial park

Updated: 2018-02-01

Wuhan National Bio-industry Base, also known as the Biolake, signed a cooperation agreement with Enshi High-tech Zone on Jan 31, to set up a biomedical industrial park in the zone.

It is the eighth industrial park that the Biolake has established in Hubei province.
According to the agreement, both sides will establish a mechanism for sharing information and technical cooperation, and also mechanisms for industrial assistance, park construction, business interaction, and personnel training.

Located in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China), the Biolake is China's second largest State-level biotech industrial base in terms of overall strength, featuring industries including biomedicine, biological agriculture, and biomedical engineering.

Enshi, in Hubei province, has rich biological resources, and is known for growing ingredients for traditional Chinese medicine.

The Biolake will recommend and organize some companies to visit the planting bases of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs and pharmaceutical manufacturers, in order to bring some pharmaceutical firms and projects to Enshi High-tech Zone and promote development of the biomedicine industry in the zone.
