Auchan is to open two supermarkets in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province, according to an announcement made by Auchan (China) on August 21.
The French-based retail giant Groupe Auchan SA is going to be the 5th retail Top 500 enterprise in Wuhan, following Carrefour, Metro, Wal-mart and Aeon.
Its first supermarket in central China will be opened in Caidian District on December 15, and a second to be opened in Qiaokou District in 2015.
At present, Auchan (China) is seeking an appropriate site for its headquarters in central China, so as to realize integrated storage, logistics, supermarkets and headquarters. (hubei.gov.cn by Mao Huifang)
