12 Optics Valley enterprises in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province, acquired the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) certification level 3, according to the Wuhan IT Outsourcing Service and Research Center on August 15.
Referred to as the “green card” for a software enterprise to enter global market, CMMI is an important criterion to evaluate the capability maturity of a software enterprise. Under the CMMI methodology, which is originated from the United States, software is rated according to its maturity levels, which are defined as: initial, repeatable, defined, quantitatively managed, and optimizing.
At present, 17 enterprises in Wuhan have acquired the CMMI certificate level 3 or above through Wuhan IT Outsourcing Service and Research Center. (hubei.gov.cn by Mao Huifang)
