Tianma holds conference in Wuhan Optical Valley

The 2017 global supplier conference of Tianma Micro-electronics Group was held in the Wuhan Optical Valley, on April 26.

A total of 229 suppliers and more than 400 people from European countries, Japan, South Korea and the region of Taiwan attended the conference, including 113 public companies which amounted to 8 trillion yuan ($1.2 trillion) of the market capitalization.

Some local government officials and the senior executives of Tianma Micro-electronics Group also participated in the conference, including Cheng Hongliang, the chairman of Tianma Micro-electronics Group; Liu Jingyu, the general manager of Tianma Micro-electronics Group; Liu Lishan, the secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone; Zhang Wentong, the director of the Administrative Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone; Xia Yamin, the deputy director of the Administrative Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

Since entering the Optical Valley, the company has made remarkable contributions towards the Optical Valley’s display panel industry by continuing to increase the investment and improve the scientific and technological innovation capability.
The world’s first 6th generation AMOLED production line, which only took 463 days, was also successfully lighted up in the Optical Valley, gaining a great deal of attention while setting a new industry record.

Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone has intensive intellectual resources, distinctive industrial characteristics, and ideal city functions and is currently creating optoelectronic information industry cluster regarding chip-display panel-intelligent terminal, totaling in hundreds of millions of RMB. Zhang Wentong, director of the Administrative Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, added that the Optical Valley is expected to further the cooperation with Tianma Micro-electronics Group and sincerely invites every supplier to come here and develop together.

During the conference, Chen Hongliang, chairman of Tianma Micro-electronics Group, delivered a welcome speech. Other senior executives also shared their experiences at the meeting in terms of the market themes and product planning, science and technology development planning, procurement planning, and G6 AMOLE project construction. Meanwhile, 39 excellent suppliers were awarded during the conference.

In addition, the conference included the unveiling of five sample products from the 6th generation AMOLED production line, some representative products related to the professional display technology and mobile intelligent terminal, and some new-type display technology products.
