A delegation of South Korea International Exchange Alliance visited Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province, on February 2 to promote the project of “Korean Town” and discuss the overall planning, relevant policy support, implementary plan, fixed cooperating agency, etc. with Hubei side.
Located in the Daqiao New Area in Jiangxia District, Wuhan, the “Korean Town” is an international complex of food and cultural industry jointly constructed by Hubei Baidian Industrial Co., Ltd and South Korea International Exchange Alliance.
In December 2014, South Korea International Exchange Alliance signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Hubei Baidian Industrial Co., Ltd to co-build a “Korean Town” under the frame of “Baidian International Food Expo City”.
With a total investment of 7 billion Yuan (1.12 billion U.S. dollars), the Food Expo City is developed through three phases, and is planned to be put into use in 2016, with 2,000 Korean food, culture and service industry settling in.
