Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley) signed cooperation agreements with eight internet firms at a jobs and investment fair in Beijing on July 22.
According to the agreements, the eight companies will establish new branches in the zone, with estimations of up to 10,000 new jobs being created.
HelloEar Technology, which specializes in the design and manufacture of earphones, will establish a research and development center and a student training base in the zone.

Ofo and Mobike, China’s leading bike-sharing companies, will set up service centers in the area, offering a total of over 8,000 jobs and internship opportunities over the next three years.The event was also attended by more than 1,000 Hubei residents and received over 15,000 resumes from around China.

The fair started in 2012 as part of Wuhan government’s efforts to attract more skilled workers and investment.It has traveled to many cities, including Shenzhen, Shanghai, London and San Francisco, and attracted more than 10,000 Hubei natives back to Wuhan during the past five years.
