Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) signed a memorandum of understanding and held a seminar with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) on May 7, to seek new areas of cooperation.
With headquarters in New York, IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
The organization enjoys a strong reputation in areas including telecommunications, biomedicine, electrical power and electronics.
According to the memorandum, the two sides will deepen cooperation mainly in high-tech industry.
IEEE will help the zone to train top professionals and encourage more companies in the zone to participate in international activities.
The two sides have already had cooperation during 2016.
