On March 28, Optics Valley Modern Service Industrial Park and Didi Chuxing, the Chinese ride-hailing service, signed a cooperation framework agreement. They will collaborate on numerous aspects including community car-sharing and intelligent park construction.
Didi Chuxing and Optics Valley will discuss the first community car-sharing program and work together in several aspects such as cars, technologies and management, to provide more diversified and convenient commute choices.
The cooperation with Optics Valley is Didi Chuxing’s effort to launch an extensive community car-sharing business. Didi Chuxing’s rental business began trial operation in Wuhan and Chengdu in September 2016 and Optics Valley is a prime location for car needs. Thus Didi Chuxing will provide exclusive, customized commute solutions for Optics Valley’s enterprises based on user characteristics and Didi Chuxing Big data.
Enterprises can use mobile Internet technologies to build a platform that makes cars accessible to those in need through crowd funding and sharing. This community car-sharing pattern has become fully-fledged in the US and UK, but currently remains in the early stages of development at home.
