Updated: 2017-04-14 (chinaopticsvalley.com)

13 administration windows have begun operation in the second floor of Optics Valley Administration Service Center.

According to Xia Huaqiang, deputy director of the Administration Service Bureau of Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, Optics Valley can deal with 35 administration items including commercial, China Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ), and public security affairs. It is the first time that Optics Valley has handled related public affairs in business registration and the Customs and Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs.

The 35 items include the prior approval of company names, warehouse approval of goods under customs supervision, introduction of foreign talents for key foreign-related companies and permanent residence application for foreigners. Xia also claimed that companies had to go to Hanyang district, Wuhan for CIQ related services before. Now the service window of the free trade zone can conduct all these procedures.

The Optics Valley Public Service Center is also applying for more provincial authority approval with the hope that in the future, more services will be offered in the free trade zone.
