Magneti Marelli Automotive Lighting Hubei Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation in Xiaogan of Hubei, central China, on April 15, local media reported.
This company, founded by Italian Magneti Marelli in parternership with Hubei Huazhong Science and Technology Ltd., committed to the production of lightening system for the automotive sector. At present, production capacity of headlight has reached 500,000. It was expected that the production scale could reach 2.5 million headlights and taillights, respctively. These lights would be used to Changan Ford, Changan Suzuki, Chang' An’s independent brand, Citroen, and Dongfeng Honda, etc.
The Magneti Marelli is an Italian company, ranking the second place on the list of the global car light industry, and also named as a World’s Top 500 enterprise. Previously, the NO.1 Koito Manufacturing Co. settled in Xiaogan Hi-tech Zone in January of this year. So far, Xiaogan has been worthy the name of car lights production base in China’s central region.
