Korean SK Group invests in Wuhan, Hubei

An agreement was signed between Korean SK Group and Sinopec Group on 800,000 tons of ethylene project on June 28 in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province. This is the largest program between China and South Korean in petrochemical field.

Total investment of the 800,000 tons of ethylene project in Wuhan exceeded 16 billion Yuan (US$2.58 billion), which ranks the third largest investment in Wuhan and also the largest ethylene project in central China.

SK Group is the third largest conglomerate in South Korea. SK Group has more than 30,000 employees who work from 113 offices worldwide with its largest businesses in the chemical, petroleum and energy industries. (hubei.gov.cn)
