Freight depot for airport to be built in Optics Valley

East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, Hubei province, signed a cooperation agreement with Hubei Airports Group Company on Oct 18 to build Wuhan Tianhe International Airport’s city freight depot in the zone.

According to the agreement, the freight depot will be built and put into operation in the Wuhan East Lake Free Trade Zone, which is in the development zone, providing low-cost, efficient and customized air logistics services for the free trade zone’s companies.

After the city freight depot is completed, the range of port services of the airport will extend throughout the East Lake Free Trade Zone, lowering operation costs of its import and export companies and promoting cluster and scale development of its emerging industries.
