Douyu, based in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China), is one of the country's largest live streaming platforms and was recently ranked 67th out of the "global top 100 block chain companies in patents for 2017".
The list was released by IPRdaily, an intellectual property industry media outlet with global influence, and the incoPat innovation index research center.
With 49 patents, Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba topped the list.
The report shows that the growth of patents in China’s block chain industry exceeded that of the United States, with 49 Chinese companies in the list.
As a new application technology of decentralization, distributed data storage and tamper-proof encryption, block chain technology has broad applications in internet fields such as live streaming and videos.
Leading the country’s live broadcast industry, Douyu has conducted research and analysis of block chain technology through patented intelligence analysis, and has explored the application and layout of block chain technology.
