WHDZ offers financial support to companies

Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), in central China’s Hubei province, is currently encouraging the development of the zone’s companies, giving a reward of 5 million yuan ($770,712) to each listed company in the zone.

Currently, there are eight listed companies in WHDZ.

Since last year, WHDZ has spent 1.8 billion yuan each year to attract and encourage companies to develop in the zone, out of which, 1 billion yuan will be used to invest in fast-growing small and medium-sized enterprises.

WHDZ has formed industrial clusters for automobiles and parts, electronic appliances, food, and pharmaceuticals. The zone’s total industrial output value reached 330 billion yuan in 2017.

The zone includes many large-scale companies, such as Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Dongfeng Honda Automobile, Dongfeng Renault Automobile Company, and Gree Electric Appliances.

At present, 54 Fortune Global 500 companies have operations in the zone.
