The new distribution center of U.S.-based retailer Wal-Mart in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province, was officially put into operation on August 13, 2013.
In future, the time of goods distribution to Wal-Mart’s stores in Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces can be cut to two days.
This distribution center, located in Yangluo Economic Development Zone of Wuhan, with an area of 327,000 square meters, is mainly set to deliver goods for the stores in the provinces of Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi.
By now, Wal-Mart has launched six distribution centers in China, which are spread over Shenzhen, Tianjin, Jiaxing, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Wuhan, aiming to meet the distribution needs of nearly 400 stores in this country. (hubei.gov.cn)
