Carrefour to establish logistics and purchasing center in Hubei

Carrefour SA, the world's second-largest retailer by revenue, released its latest multi-format strategy and new operational structure in China on March 6, 2015. It will establish 6 logistics bases and 6 purchasing centers in China, with its central China centers to settle in Hubei.

According to Carrefour, it is expected to open more hypermarkets in cities, roll out more “convenience stores” branded Easy Carrefour, and launch O2O e-commerce in China.

Hubei is of developing priority to Carrefour. It is estimated that 6 modern distribution centers will be built in China, with its central China branch in Ezhou, Hubei. Its central China purchasing center is to be settled in Wuhan and finished in early April.
