3 new World Top 500 enterprises settle in Xiangyang of Hubei

From January to May, 13 foreign-invested projects were introduced in Xiangyang, central China’s Hubei province, with a total investment of 2.22 billion yuan (US$ 355.42 million), including the projects of three new World Top 500 enterprises, namely Tri-Wall Limited, Nippon Express Co., Ltd. and Yum! Brands, Inc, local media reported on June 10, 2014.

In the first five months of 2014, Xiangyang Hi-tech Industry Development Zone has actually utilized 0.18 billion U.S. dollars foreign capital, accounting for 71.17 percent of the whole year’s target and task, an increase of 51 percent year on year.

Tri-Wall is the company that first introduced heavy duty corrugated fibreboard to Europe nearly 50 years ago. It is the leader in triplewall, heavy-duty doublewall, and laminated corrugated packaging. The Tri-Wall Group is composed of a group holding company, three intermediate holding companies, and operational companies within each of the intermediate holding companies. Nippon Express Co., Ltd. is a worldwide leader in logistics services. The company was established in 1937 in line with the Nippon Tsu-un Kaisha Law as a semi-government transportation service. Nippon Express has a strong global network that spans over 40 countries, with company direct operations in 33 nations.

Yum! Brands, Inc. or Yum! is a United States based Fortune 500 corporation. Yum! operates four licenses, namely, Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, and WingStreet restaurants worldwide.
